Ubisoft has announced the release date of the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope in the latest Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on October 20, 2022, and pre-orders are now live for the game. Fans will see some of the fan favorites returning to the series along with new characters as well such as Bowser.
The game will see Bowser joining Rabbid Peach, Luigi, Rabbid Mario, and Princess Peach to form a team and prevent Cursa, a malevolent cosmic entity, from plunging the galaxy into chaos. In Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Cursa and its minions are determined to consume all of the energy in the galaxy and for this, they are hunting the Sparks. Sparks are the uncanny creatures formed by the fusion of Lumas & Rabbids and they will destroy all who stand in their way. Your goal in the game is to locate and save the Sparks to make them join your adventure and open up new tactical possibilities to help Heroes get the upper hand in battles.
In addition to leveling up and customizing the Heroes, you will also have the opportunity to pair them with Sparks to unlock additional abilities. Each of them has a distinct power and personality that range from energy shields to powerful elemental attacks. Throughout your journey, you will explore a variety of planets, meet their curious inhabitants, and complete one-of-a-kind quests to free them from Cursa’s evil influence. You will encounter familiar enemies from the Nintendo Universe, exceptional Rabbids enemies as well as surprising bosses as well.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope combines turn-based tactics and real-time action with its innovative combat system. Players will use their Heroes to dash at enemies, team jump on enemies, hide behind covers and take advantage of their special abilities in order to get the most out of every turn. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is aiming to be a fun tactical adventure for new players and experts of the genre alike.
