Intel Graphics Xe is in development right now. Intel has hired plenty of talent from the industry to get behind the project and compete against AMD and Nvidia in the graphics market. Here we have an Intel Graphics Xe concept design that raises hopes and expectations.
This is not something common for the graphics market or the PC gaming space for that matter. We usually see renders of an upcoming smartphone because there is minimal change in smartphones each year. The same is not the case for graphics cards even if it is a reference design model.
Cristiano Siqueira has created an amazing Intel Graphics Xe concept design. This is not his first time doing this kind of work. We have seen some AMD Radeon inspired designs in the past as well. You can check out his vision of the Intel Graphics Xe below:
Remember that these are concepts and that the real product can be very different. Also, it has been confirmed that the final product will not be called Intel Xe. The concept seems to be inspired by the Intel Optane series. If you have seen the PCIe Optane SSDs then you will notice the similarities.
Intel Xe will be out by 2020 and it will compete against products that AMD and Nvidia have on the market at the time. The product is being overlooked by Raja Koduri, who was formerly at AMD working on graphics architectures like AMD Vega.
Let us know what you think about the Intel Graphics Xe concept design by Cristiano Siqueira and whether or not you think the final version will be similar to what we see here.
