As its release date is inching closer and closer, Warner Bros. Games and developer Avalanche Software is releasing more and more information about their upcoming open-world RPG Hogwarts Legacy. The latest Hogwarts Legacy information to come out of the studio includes the amazing list of voice over talent that will be featured in Hogwarts Legacy. Some of the most notable voices that players will hear in Hogwarts Legacy include names like Simon Pegg who will be playing Phineas Nigellus Black, the cantankerous Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
A new trailer for Hogwarts Legacy is also now available that features Simon Pegg himself detailing the Headmaster Black and his role in the game:
Headmaster Black comes from a long lineage of Slytherins and is dearly hated by students for this very reason. He is wildly suited for his job because his goal is to do the least amount of work possible and avoid exposure to the student body. He prefers to focus instead on his status in the wizarding world and his surgically manicured beard. The main characters, fifth-year students entering Hogwarts for the first time, are voiced by Sebastian Croft and Amelia Gething. Players can decide which one they want for their in-game avatar.
Another important character in the game, Professor Matilda Weasley is voiced by Lesley Nicol. Professor Matilda Weasley is the Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts who aids the player in catching up with the other students by giving them the Wizard’s Field Guide and showing them the Room of Requirement. Kandace Caine plays Professor Onai, who used to teach Divination at Uagadou, the largest wizarding school in the world, and a gifted seer who lost her husband however she was unable to see it coming. She teaches Divination at Hogwarts as well.
Professor Satyavati Shah teaches Astronomy and is voiced by Sohm Kapila. She was raised in the Muggle World however she is dedicated to sciences and tends to talk down to her students in winding and pretentious aphorisms. Coming to Hogwarts Legacy directly from the Harry Potter movies is Like Youngblood who played Lee Jordan in the film series, and he is returning to the game to voice the character Everett Clopton. Everett Clopton is a Ravenclaw and an underachieving rule-breaker and prankster. Another Ravenclaw student Amit Thakkar is voiced by Asif Ali who is a bright and well-read student who loves helping his friends.
Two of the most iconic characters in Hogwarts Legacy Nearly Headless Nick and the Sorting Hat are voiced by Jason Anthony. All players will be sorted in their houses by the Sorting Hat and the Nearly Headless Nick is the Gryffindor’s house ghost who helps players in a significant mystery if players complete a small favor for him first involving rotten roast beef.
