Best Early Game Armor
At the beginning of the game, it’s best to pick items with traits like Democracy Protects or Med-Kit. With Democracy Protects, you have a 50% chance of surviving lethal damage.
If you bought Helldivers 2 before it was released, you get special armor at the start with enhanced abilities. There were three types of armor for all early buyers:
- TR-9 Cavalier of Democracy
- TR-7 Ambassador of the Brand
- TR-62 Knight
If you get the Super Citizen edition, you also get the DP-53 Saviour of the Free armor. Among these collections, TR-9 Cavalier of Democracy and DP-53 Saviour of the Free stand out for promoting democracy protection.
Best Armor Against Automatons
We suggest finding armor with Extra Padding or Fortified perks. The starting armor, B-01 Tactical, has Extra Padding which boosts the Armor rating for more protection against bots. For fighting Automatons, use heavy armor with a Fortified perk to reduce gun recoil when crouching or prone and resist explosives better, up to 50%.
Best Armor Against Terminids
We recommend using armor with the Engineering Kit perk when fighting Terminids. This perk boosts grenade capacity by 2 and cuts gun recoil by 30%. The CE-35 Trench Engineer suit, which has this perk, can be obtained for free on page 3 of the Warbonds progression or by spending 10 Medals.
