Publisher Aerosoft and developer Nano Games have announced that their recent truck simulation title Heavy Duty Challenge is relaunching as Offroad Truck Simulator: Heavy Duty Challenge. Offroad Truck Simulator: Heavy Duty Challenge features tons of new content including new trucks, vehicles, maps, game modes, and an expanded exploration. The relaunch of Heavy Duty Challenge arrives after the developer received criticism over the lack of content in the original title. Now, the developer has worked alongside the community to bring major updates to the title leading to its relaunch under a new name.

One of the key additions in the relaunch is the ability to play the game with a keyboard and mouse, traditional gamepad, and steering wheel with force feedback support for unparalleled realism. This was one of the most requested features by the community and the developers have now added it to the game. New game modes include Cargo Mode where you can embark on transportation missions. In these missions, you will make deliveries across the new Utah map or a dense European forest. As you complete missions in these locations, you will earn credits which will allow you to purchase new vehicles to take on even more missions.
The game now features over a dozen trucks with fully modeled cabins and realistic vehicle physics. The new additions include the Hummer H1 and the 4-axle Mercedes SK 3553. Having these two trucks in the game further expands your options to consider while taking on different missions and challenges. The new expanded Sports Mode now features trials in Europa Truck Trial races. In these races, you will drive trucks over complex courses that require mastery while scaling obstacles, navigating narrow routes, and much more. An online leaderboard will ensure high competition as you can aim for the highest spot and bragging rights.
The Off-Road Trips Mode is for players who want to turn off the challenge and enjoy the game at their own pace. You can choose the truck of your choice, select your desired map, and drive around without any time limits or other constraints. In this mode, you can hunt for secrets and explore the beautiful scenery and some optional goals directed by vehicle selection. Maarten Janello, Product Manager at Aerosoft comments:
