Bigben has announced that the Grand Final of 2019 eSports WRC Powered by Hyundai is taking place this weekend. The final is taking place following an intense season involving 12 challenges over 8 months. The final will comprise of 9 qualifiers which include Jon Armstrong, 2018 World Champion, and Lohan ‘Nexl’ Black, the 2017 winner of the competition.

The final will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2019, and Bigben is bringing the final along with the WRC Promoter and the Wales Rally GB. The venue of the final is also dying the Wales Rally GB at the Llandudno WRC service park. During the final, each eSports player will compete in 8 special qualification stages to find out who comes out at the top in the end. The grand final will welcome only 4 top players which will also take place during the same day at 6 pm local time over 3 special stages.

Apart from taking part in the finals, the 9 finalists will also have an inside look at the Wales Rally GB for 3 days and they will be attending the rally’s special stages on Sunday. They will use top-end simulators for their stages which will be provided by Playseat®, Thrustmaster (T-GT base + Rally Wheel add-on Sparco® r383 mod + T3PA-PRO ADD-ON + TSS HANDBRAKE Sparco Mod) and Nvidia.

The top three players will be able to nab some serious prizes courtesy of event partners. The winner of the championship will win a Hyundai i20 Coupe worth €20,000 along with a co-driving experience with Dani Sordo in the Rally de España. The second-place winner will receive an Anonimo Militare Chrono WRC watch worth €5000.

The third-place winner of the grand final of 2019 eSports WRC will be able to nab a Playseat® WRC Racing chair worth €400 and a complete set of Thrustmaster equipment (T-GT base + Rally Wheel add-on Sparco® r383 mod + T3PA-PRO ADD-ON + TSS HANDBRAKE Sparco Mod) worth €1,440.

After this season, eSports WRC will return again in 2020 and weekly challenges available in the WRC 8 will allow players to compete with each other and test their skills. Players interested in taking part in the 2020 season will be glad to know that the path to the 2020 world final will begin during the Rallye Monte Carlo in January 2020 so there’s plenty of time to hone their skills.
