Bungie has announced that the free in-game event Dawning is now live in Destiny 2 to celebrate the holiday season once again. This time around, Dawning will remain live in Destiny 2 until January 2, 2023, and during this time, players will be able to take part in the Dawning cheer and gift their tasty treats to their favorite characters around the system. To celebrate the holidays, Eva Levante is back in the Tower to help players bake delicious cookies using highly questionable ingredients. However, not everything is old and returning to the game because new this year is the Event Card where players can complete challenges to unlock rewards such as an emblem, a shader, and an Exotic Ghost. You can also upgrade your cards with Silver to unlock another Exotic Ghost, an Exotic Sparrow, a new Emote, and many more goodies for yourself. If you manage to complete all of the challenges of the Event Card, you will unlock the Seal and title ‘Star Baker’.
Since the game will have plenty of snow during the event, you can take part in Stasis-infused snowball fights. Dawning will also allow you to unlock the new Legendary Pulse Rifle, Stay Frosty PR7 which will help you in your ingredient search. Dawning is also bringing a lot of other themed cosmetics including new armor ornament sets for each class. These will be available in the Eververse store as long as Dawning remains live in Destiny 2. Through the end of the Season of the Seraph, you can also take part in Moments of Triumph as you prepare for the launch of the new season Destiny 2: Lightfall on February 28, 2023.
