Whitethorn Games, the publisher behind titles such as Lake and We should talk, has announced that their latest title Whalefall is live on Kickstarter. Whalefall is a fantasy RPG visual novel hybrid and comes from Whitethorn Games’ own library of titles. The Kickstarter campaign for the game aims at developing the title with the community, expanding the title to make it as high-quality as possible, and learning what the audience actually wants.
Whalefall is set in the ancient world of Osfeld which is an original fantasy world. Roving gentle beasts roam the skies of this world and once every century, a whale’s natural life comes to an end. Once it is over, they fall gracefully to the ground in the Baleen Wastes where conflict soon follows for their valuable remains. The game takes place at a time when the Stonefield Legion has shot down a Skywhale sending Osfeld into chaos.
You step in the story as Coty and recruit friends, make enemies, build romances, fight, level, customize and explore the beautiful world of Osfeld. The game’s main story has three acts and is a full-length JRPG from Whitethorn Games. Your ultimate goal is to put an end to the tyranny of the Stoneshield Legion.
