Fallout 76 Taken Offline Temporarily for Fixing Nuclear Codes

Fallout 76 Nuclear Codes

Fallout 76 troubles are far from over as Bethesda recently had to take down the game to fix the Nuclear Launch codes in the game which were rendering the nuclear silos useless.

Bethesda has seen better days and their recent title Fallout 76 is certainly proving to be a very problematic child for them. This is not common for most games but with online only, comes many online only problems as well such as players unable to play the game while the developer fixes it.

Earlier these were only problems with MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft and other titles which required continuous internet connection while playing but since Bethesda tried making Fallout 76 a similar title, it is getting such problems as well. This is evident by their recent takedown of Fallout 76 during which players were unable to join the game.

The main reason behind this maintenance was to fix the nuclear codes which were useless for nearly all players because they were not resetting making them incompatible with the silos. Since these codes were essential to fire Nuclear Missiles in the game, this very important mechanic was not working properly players around the globe.

Nuclear Missile explosions cause irradiation in large areas when fired in the game and in these areas, high level scorched beasts spawn which give the best gear in the game when killed. Hence it is normal that in every server of the game, there is at least one nuclear launch happening. Since January 1, players were unable to fire these missiles and it turned out to be a server problem.

To fix it, Bethesda took the game servers down but it is now fixed and the game is running fine at its full capacity. The nuclear codes are now resetting properly and players can fire nukes as much as they like in the game and get high level gear without any problems. It took Bethesda nearly an hour to fix the game but the game is working fine now.

Fallout 76 is now available for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
