EVERSPACE 2 Drake: Gang Wars

ROCKFISH Games has announced the release date of the first major update for EVERSPACE 2 Early Access which will bring tons of new content to the game. Ever since the release of EVERSPACE 2 in Early Access earlier, the developer has been working hard on adding new and new content to the game and the first major update dubbed Union: Contracts/Heartland is set to release on April 28, 2021.

Union: Contracts/Heartland will add new mission types, ship classes, activities, challenges, improved game balancing, an Outlaw sub-faction introducing special gear with set bonuses along with an additional companion. Fans of the game will be glad to know that the new update will also add three new main and side missions to the game along with various side activities in the second star system Ceto.

Players coming back from the first game will also remember Elek, from the original EVERSPACE: Encounters expansion who is making a return in the second game as well. Players will rescue Elek in the new mission which will take players deep underground and introduces a new damage corrosive damage-dealing enemy the Cave Crawlers. Once rescued, Elek will play a major role in the main story of the game and will help you progress in the story and also join to help you out as a wingman through a new perk tree.

Fans waiting for a new ship will be happy to know that that a brand-new ship in the Heavy-class Bomber is also coming to the game in the new update. It will allow secondary weapons to use energy instead of ammo and each time you damage your enemies, it will regenerate its hull damage. It also comes with the Ultimate ability that unleashes a powerful ARC-9000, a massive ball of destruction that damages all ships in its vicinity and also explodes on impact.

ROCKFISH is also planning to release another ship in a post-update patch which will be the Light-class Vanguard and will offer players a faster, hit-and-run experience and the chance to live as a true starfighter. The new update will slightly increase the player level cap to cater to all the new story missions, pursuit missions, and puzzles. This will now allow players to get new pilot perks that they were previously unable to acquire in the game. The overall balances and tweaks are based on the fan feedback collected for the game so far.
