Community Boards Guide – Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Our Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Community Boards Guide details everything that you need to know about Community Boards in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Community Boards

Community Boards are a relatively difficult-to-understand mechanic of an otherwise pretty simple game. To begin with, you should know that these Community Boards allow you to make your party stronger by investing Soul Emblems in them. As you continue to invest Soul Emblems in a Community Board, it will continue to increase in rank unlocking more and better bonuses for you and your party.

There are 7 different Community Boards available in the game and each board will provide a different bonus to you and your party. If you want to make yourself and your party stronger, it is vital that you invest in these Community Boards. You can only spend Soul Emblems here despite the game having a large number of resources and currencies. We have detailed the 7 different types of Community Boards present in the game below:

  • Adult Community – Increases Item Selling Price, Frenzy Chance and Decreases Item Purchase Price
  • Adventure Community – Boosts HP, KI and Recovery Item Bonus
  • Community of the Gods – Increases the number of items and Z Orbs earned by various means.
  • Cooking Community – Increases the benefits of meals eaten as well as the chances of creating a successful mean
  • Development Community – Reduces the cost of items in terms of Zeni and increases the chances of building successfully. It also increases Machine Level.
  • Training Community – Combat focused. Invest here to increase EXP and DEF
  • Z Warrior Community – Combat focused. Invest here to increase Support Gauge and ATK

Another important mechanic to learn about these Community Boards is Soul Linking. Soul Linking is basically an added bonus that you can unlock by placing related Soul Emblems close to each other. Each Community Board has its own design and place to put Soul Emblems. We will take the example of the Z Board. It is designed like a ‘Z’ with multiple spots on it where you place a Soul Emblem.

In the middle, you will see Goku which cannot be moved around. The game will guide you on creating Soul Links by placing Gogan’s Soul Emblem right next to Goku. Since Gohan is Goku’s son, you will unlock an additional Soul Link bonus. If you move Gohan away from Goku even if he is on the Z Community Board, the Soul Link will not be created. In this way, you can put related Soul Emblems together and unlock multiple Soul Links on Community Boards and earn added bonuses from them.

Leveling Up Community Boards

As you unlock more and more Community Boards, you will notice that each Community Board offers different and unique bonuses to your party. Since every Community Board offers useful bonuses, you will want to upgrade all of them in the long run. To upgrade or level up the rank of a Community Board, you will want to invest Soul Emblems that you collect on your journey. The more Soul Emblems you invest in a Community Board; the higher the rank it will reach in the long run.

Similarly, the higher the rank of a Community Board, the better the bonuses it will offer to you and your party. You will want to invest more in the ones that suit your gaming style. Since there are no specific builds in the game, you can level up certain Community Boards more than the others to focus on specific stats of your character and thus create ‘builds’ suiting more to your gameplay style.
