In this The Division 2 Artifacts Guide, we will guide you on the locations of all artifacts hidden around in Washington D.C. in The Division 2. Artifacts are one of the different collectibles found in The Division 2. You will find them scattered throughout The Division 2 however all of them are detailed below along with their locations so you can find them easily.

There are three different categories of Artifacts. You will find Founding Father Artifacts, Artwork Artifacts and Relic Artifacts in The Division 2. We have detailed all of them below in their respective categories so that you can easily build your collection according to the category each artifact belongs in.

Artifacts Guide – The Division 2

Our The Division 2 Artifacts Guide details the locations of all the artifacts that are currently found in The Division 2.

Relic Artifacts

This section of the guide details the locations of all the Relic Artifacts in The Division 2. These are thirteen in total.

Relic Artifact # 1 – George Washington’s Battle Sword and Scabbard

To find this relic, start from the White House. Exit the building using the southeastern gate and while on the path, check on the left side for two trees. Another tree next to them will have a thicker trunk and some bushes at its base. Make your way to the thinner tree and you will find a dead body at its base. The relic is sitting right next to this dead body/

Relic Artifact # 2 – Crystal Skull

This relic is located in Downtown East. Make your way to the intersection of 14 St NW and G St NW. From there, head east and you will come to a sign which says parking on the left side. Head to this sign and you will find a hot dog stand underneath the sign. Look next to the hot dog stand and you will find the Crystal Skull sitting there.

Relic Artifact # 3 – Abraham Lincoln’s Top Hat

This relic is located in West Potomac Park. It is sitting on top of a statue inside the park near some trees.

Relic Artifact # 4 – Lewis and Clark Pocket Compass

This relic is located in Southwest. Head inside the building right next to the safe house which is on the left side of the safe house if you look on the map. Get inside the building and check behind the desk for the relic.

Relic Artifact # 5 – Old Glory Flag

This relic is located in East Mall. You can collect this relic during the side mission ‘Missing Curators’. Inside the building, the relic is sitting in the statue room.

Relic Artifact # 6 – Plymouth Rock Fragment

This relic is located in Judiciary Square. This relic can be obtained during the side mission ‘Judiciary Square Metro Station’. The Drone Operator at the White House will give you this side mission. During the mission, you will find it on a desk near a laptop and a map of the metro. This is located in a room on the same floor as the metro.

Relic Artifact # 7 – The Bill of Rights

This relic is sitting inside the Washington Monument Control Point Storage Room in West Potomac Park.

Relic Artifact # 8 – The Constitution of the United States

This relic is located in Downtown East. Head to the building located at the bottom right corner of the district. You can gain access to the interior of the building from the south side across the water body. Use the rope at the back to reach the roof. From the roof, climb through the window to read the inside and then use the stairs to go down. The relic is sitting behind the reception desk.

Relic Artifact # 9 – Teddy Roosevelt’s Teddy Bear

This relic is located in the West End. You can find this relic during the side mission ‘Historic District Attack’. You will find the relic sitting in the building where the civilians are hiding during the mission.

Relic Artifact # 10 – Lincoln’s Pocket Watch

This relic is located in West Potomac Park. You will need to get inside the sewer system. Use any manhole located on the southeast of the Lincoln Memorial to gain access to the sewers and find the relic sitting there.

Relic Artifact # 11 – Yamaki Pine

This relic is located in Foggy Bottom. Head across the road from the safe house. If you look on the map, this is left side from the safe house. You will see a big white truck sitting here next to a locked fence. Climb the truck and open the door by shooting at the lock. Go inside and then up using the rope. You will find the relic on the other side of the area.

Relic Artifact # 12 – Greffuhle Stradivarius

This relic is located in Downtown West. From the Settlement, head south and you will come to an SHD Cache. Near it, head inside the alley to reach the inside of the building block and then simply climb into the apartment to find this relic.

Relic Artifact # 13 – Thomas Jefferson’s Polygraph

This relic is located in Constitution Hall. You can collect this relic during the side mission ‘Outcast Work Camp’. It is not missable during this side mission.

Founding Fathers Artifacts

This section of the guide details the location of all Founding Fathers Artifacts found in The Division 2. These are portrait pictures of the Founding Fathers. These are seven in total.

Founding Fathers Artifact # 1 – Benjamin Franklin

This artifact is located in East Mall. Enter the Contaminated Area which is on the south from the Metro Ruins Control Point. Head to the first floor of the Contaminated Area and as you exit from the elevator, turn left and go inside the corridor which leads into the office. You will find the collectible here.

Founding Fathers Artifact # 2 – George Washington

This artifact is located in the White House. Head to the back of the White House and you will come to an alley. Head inside the alley and then climb into the house which has the alley to its back. Inside, you will find the artifact clearly visible.

Founding Fathers Artifact # 3 – James Madison

This artifact is located in the West End. Head to the building on the second block on the right side from the safe house on the map. This is the block which is at the border of the district. Enter the building and you will find the artifact in the garage.

Founding Fathers Artifact # 4 – John Adams

This artifact is located in Downtown West. Head east from the Toxic Alley Control Point and you will arrive on a building. Head inside and you will find the artifact on the wall between two planters.

Founding Fathers Artifact # 5 – John Jay

This artifact is located in Foggy Bottom. Head left from the safe house while looking at the map towards the Control Point and on the way, you will come to a climbable roof. Climb up and then down again where you will find this artifact next to a blue shelf and a crashed white car. There is also a white truck here.

Founding Fathers Artifact # 6 – Thomas Jefferson

This artifact is located in Constitution Hall. Head to the building located on the top-right corner of the district. Enter the building from the north and head inside the find the portrait on the wall next to another big painting on the floor.

Founding Fathers Artifact # 7 – Alexander Hamilton

This artifact is located in West Potomac Park. Head to the stack of containers converted into a structure and check the ground most container to find this artifact on the floor.

Artwork Artifacts

This section of the guide details the locations of all Artwork Artifacts found in The Division 2. These are thirteen in total. These are all paintings as well.

Artwork Artifact # 1 – St. George and the Dragon

This painting is located in Downtown East as well. This one is a little difficult to locate. To start, head to metro entrance located at the intersection of 12th St NW and F St NW. Once inside, keep following the underground path until you reach an escalator.

Go up and you will arrive back on the streets. Now make your way to the HxC store and keep left. When you see the open area, look for a toy soldier. The painting is right here at the foot of this toy soldier.

Artwork Artifact # 2 – Portrait of Ginevra de’ Benci

This artifact is located in the White House. Arrive at the Ellipse Fuel Depot Control Point and enter the Supply Room. You will find the artifact inside.

Artwork Artifact # 3 – Rembrandt van Rijn – Self-Portrait

This artifact is located in East Mall. Head to the location of the Main Mission above the Control Point and you will find the painting leaning against a house next to a wooden board which has some scratched text and Water written on it.

Artwork Artifact # 4 – Woman Holding a Balance

This artifact is located in Downtown West. Head to The World’s End Control Point and you will find this artifact on the wall next to a turned over table.

Artwork Artifact # 5 – Watson and the Shark

This artifact is located in Constitution Hall. Head to the building located in the block between the side mission and the Control Point in the lower-bottom section of the district right next to the West Potomac Park border. Head inside the building using the window and trigger the fire alarm inside. This will open all doors allowing you to head upstairs where the artifact is located.

Artwork Artifact # 6 – The Emperor Napoleon

This artifact is located in West Potomac Park. Near the border of Constitution Square, there is a house which can be climbed into. On the map, this is located on the top-left side from the safe house. Climb into the house and keep heading down until you find the artifact. You will need to go down two sets of stairs.

Artwork Artifact # 7 – Vincent van Gogh – Self-Portrait

This artifact is located in Foggy Bottom. On the bottom-right side of the safe house, there is a garage which opens on the main road. Use the button on the garage door to open it and collect the artifact inside.

Artwork Artifact # 8 – The Great Red Dragon and the Woman

This artifact is located in the West End. Head to the back of the Overgrowth Control Point and enter the alley. You will find this artifact on the wall of this alley between some pipes.

Artwork Artifact # 9 – Judith Leyster – Self-Portrait

This artifact is located in the Federal Triangle. Head to the safe house 1040 and head out using the North East Exit. You will come out to a courtyard which has a ladder heading up. Climb up and enter the building where this artifact is hanging on the wall.

Artwork Artifact # 10 – Hercules and the Nemean Lion

This artifact is located in Downtown East. Head southwest from the Red Dragon Control Point and enter the building from the east. The artifact is inside this building right next to a US flag and a glass showcase.

Artwork Artifact # 11 – Bazille and Camille

This artifact is located in Judiciary Square. Head to the alley of the complex where you will see some stairs. Go up and you will find some more stairs. Climb once again and then drop to the lower level using the stairs up ahead. Keep following the path until you arrive on a building which has some smashed windows. Climb inside this window to find the artifact inside.

Artwork Artifact # 12 – The Fall of Phaeton

This artifact is located in East Mall. You can pick this artifact during the side mission ‘Missing Curators’. Head to the statue room inside the building and take the stairs to go down and collect the artifact.

Artwork Artifact # 13 – The Boston Massacre

This artifact is located in Southwest. Head to the building located in the top middle corner of the district right under the main mission marker. You can enter this building from the ground floor and then go down the stairs where the artifact is located.
