Publisher PRISMATIKA and developer QCF Design have announced the release date for their upcoming puzzle-roguelike Desktop Dungeons: Rewind. Desktop Dungeons: Rewind will release on PC via Steam and Humble Bundle Store on April 18, 2023. To celebrate the release date announced of Desktop Dungeons: Rewind, the publisher has shared a brand-new trailer as well that invited everyone to come adventuring and experience colorful local customs and majestic views of natural splendor. Desktop Dungeons: Rewind is a remake of the award-winning micro dungeon puzzler, Desktop Dungeons, which was originally released more than a decade ago to critical acclaim. It won the Excellence in Design at IGF Awards when it was released and now, the game is coming back in its best form possible. Desktop Dungeons: Rewind aims at delivering snappy, strategic, and compelling puzzling roguelike action complete with gloriously updated visuals that will bring dungeon-crawling to life with eye-catching vibrancy.
Desktop Dungeons: Rewind will also bring a brand-new Rewind system which was not present in the original game however this mechanic will allow players to rewind and play a dungeon from an earlier point if they meet a swift death. This will allow experimentation with different strategies and defeating monsters in all new ways which were not possible in the original title. The remake is bringing everything that fans loved in the original game including innovative game design, hundreds and hundreds of hours of content, daily online challenges, an amazing soundtrack by Danny Baranowksy and Grant Kirkhope, All DLC, and a lot more.
