Death Stranding Weapons Guide

This Death Stranding Weapons Guide will show you how you can get all the weapons in the game and how you can upgrade them. Weapons are mostly given to you by completing various Orders or missions in the game.

Orders in the game are like mission which are also marked by their number of identification. The game has many such orders for you to complete. We will list all of the Orders and their locations from where you can unlock all the weapons in the game.

Below we have detailed all the weapons with their locations and the upgrade locations that you can find.

Weapon and Upgrades Locations

All the weapon with their location and Order number are listed below.

Handgun

This weapon can be obtained when you first go to South Knot City. The Handgun can be upgraded when you get 3 stars from Owen Southwick.

Assault Rifle

This weapon is also obtained when you reach South Knot City. To get the eh weapon, you need to complete the first order that you receive here. To upgrade the weapon you need to complete Order number 43, which can be taken from the Distribution Center in Mountain Knot City.

To upgrade this weapon further to Level 3, you need to get three stars from Aaron Hill at Mountain Knot City.

Bola Gun

This weapon can be found after you complete the first order give to you by the Craftsman. This character can be found in the Central region. To get the Bola Gun upgraded to level 2, you need to get 3 stars from the Craftsman.

Anti BT Gun

This weapon is given to you by the Chiral Artist when you reach the Chiral Artist’s studio. You can get it after you complete Order number 33. To upgrade the weapon to Level 2, you need to get three stars from the Chiral Artist

Non-Lethal Assault Rifle

This weapon can be obtained after you complete Order number 42. To get this mission, you need to go to the Waystation that is north of Mountain Knot City. To get this weapon upgraded to level 2, you need to complete another order which is Order 43. You can find this mission at the Distribution Center of Mountain Knot City.

To upgrade this weapon further to Level 3, you need to get three stars from Aaron Hill at Mountain Knot City

Shotgun

There are two types of shotguns you can unlock. The first is the simple Shotgun, while the other is the Riot Shotgun. Both these weapons can be obtained after you complete the order given to you by the Photographer.

To upgrade the lethal shotgun, you need to get three stars from the Photographer, while 4 stars for the Riot Shotgun. Both the weapons when upgraded will reach level 2.

Grenade Launcher

This weapon is obtained after you complete Order number 61, which is given to you by Evo-Devo Biologist.

Remote-Controlled Grenade Launcher

This weapon can be obtained once you reach the Edge Knot City from the Tar Belt. You can also upgrade it from the Evo-Devo Biologist.

Quadruple Rocket Launcher

This weapon can be obtained once you reach the Edge Knot City from the Tar Belt. You can also upgrade it from the Evo-Devo Biologist.

Best Weapons

The best weapons that you need are obviously the ones that help you fight against the BTs. These enemies are tough to beat and can really put Sam in a tricky situation if he is not well prepared for a battle.

The best gun to fight against the BTs is to have the Bola Gun. This weapon shoots out the blood that will take out the BTs completely when hit. Bola Gun requires Blood Bags as its ammo.

Pairing the Bola Gun with the Hematic Grenades can really make things easy for you when fighting against the BTs. Hematic Grenades also work the same way by using Sam’s Blood or from Blood Bags. These grenades explode when they hit a BT, taking them out instantly.
