This Cyberpunk 2077 Life Path Guide will detail all the Life Paths in the game and what you can choose from. When you first start up Cyberpunk 2077 and begin creating your character, you will have to choose a life path for your character.
In total, there are three Life Paths in the game that you can choose from for your main character. This will set up your background and where you come from. the three Life Paths are:

Nomad Life Path
The Nomad Life Path is the only character background choice for V that is based outside of Night City. If you choose this Life Path for your character, you will begin your story in The Badlands, which is a place for outcasts.
The Badlands is a place that is filled with pollution, has a lot of oil fields, and is way different than what Night City has to offer, in both appearance and activities.
Street Kid Life Path
The Street Kid Life Path is also part of the Night City, but with a background of being bred in the poorer parts of the Night City. When you chose this life path, you will start in crime-infested Heywood, which is filled with gangsters and thugs.
However, the perk of choosing this life path guarantees that you know the ins and outs of the Night City better than other life paths.
Corporate Life Path
The Corporate Life Path sets your background as an employee working for a big corporation in Night City. When you do decide to go for this Life Path, you will start V’s life in the City Center district of Night City.
This part of the city is filled with skyscrapers, mega-corporations and a completely different outlook than the Nomad life path. Your corporation that you work for will be the Arasaka state of the art cybernetics company, where you will work as an agent.
