New Coromon Video Details ‘Nuzlocke’ Mode, Difficulty Options, and More

Coromon Nuzlocke

Developer TRAGsoft and publisher Freedom Games have released a new video featurette for their upcoming title Coromon which reveals additional information about the game. The new Coromon featurette shares details on the title’s difficulty options including the Nuzlocke mode along with accessibility options, cross-save, multiplayer, and more. The video was released during The Mix. Check out the video below before we jump into additional details:

Coromon features four difficulty options to choose from when you start your journey. These include Easy, Regular, Hard, and Insane. Each of these difficulty modes determines how easy or hard your adventure will be for you. The Insane mode in Coromon is also called Nuzlocke mode, and it gives you a strict ruleset that you have to follow throughout your journey. Each area allows you to catch just one Coromon and you cannot run from battles. The mode does not offer any teleporting items as well and once your Coromon faints in a battle, it does not wake back up.

If these four options do not suit your liking, there is also a fifth difficulty option which offers an extensive number of challenge accessibility options that allow you to have a more customized experience. You will have the option to adjust various options such as item prices, availability, Coromon captures per area, healing limitations, and much more. This mode is for players who want a more relaxed and customized experience or those who just want to experience the story of the game without much challenge.

You can also unlock a built-in randomizer that automatically randomizes wild Coromon, enemy trainer’s team, Coromon skill and evolution paths, collectible items, and so many other aspects. This gives the option to randomly jump in a different game every time giving the game endless mode-type replayability. Both the Nintendo Switch and PC versions of the game supports cross-save feature so if you own both versions, you can continue your adventure anywhere you like by transferring your saves to the other platform.

Previously, Freedom Games released a video featurette that detailed the battle system, multiphase bosses and additional details about the game so make sure that you check it out as well. Coromon was revealed during the Freedom Games Show at E3 2021. Coromon is slated for release on March 31, 2022, on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
