The Book of Rea is an additional feature in the sense that acts like an upgrade wheel that offers you various bonuses as you unlock them during your gameplay. Unlocking and then learning each of the boosts are two different things. Unlocking requires you to find them in your exploration, and learning them requires you to spend some Gold.

Below we have detailed all the bonuses the Book of Rea has to offer in the game, and their effects.
Obelisk Remembrance
This will be unlocked from the start automatically. This item will increase the efficiency of the obelisk and its effects. Obelisks work by increasing your character’s stats. You can find different Obelisk that will give you buffs like increases speed, XP gained, etc.
Hoarder
This will increases the amount of Morv that the enemies will drop. Morv is the in-game currency that will help you upgrade your weapons and gear. So it is must-have if you are looking to collect more of these Morvs.
Wisdom
This will increase the amount of XP that you gain from defeating enemies. More experience will allow you to level up, which in turn will give you access to new skills and new traits you can unlock for each character.
Gemstone Proficiency
This will increase the drop rate of Gemstones. Gemstones are a type of currency that allows you to purchase various items from the Merchant. The merchant sells you Divine Relics, Divine Graces, Obelisks, and Charms. All in return for some Gemstones.
Runic Knowledge
This will increase the durability of your Runes, and will unlock more Rune slots. Runes offer you unique combat abilities and will work great if you have multiple when fighting bosses. Having multiple Runes gives you an advantage in boss fights as they are left in defending additional Rune effects that you carry.
Divine Relic Mastery
This will decrease the cooldown of your Divine Relics, and give you one additional Divine Relic Slot. If you are wanting more skills, traits, and bonuses equipped on your character, then this Mastery will help you.
