Cadence of Hyrule Beginner's Guide

In this Cadence of Hyrule Beginner’s Guide, we will share some basic tips that will help you get started in your rhythmic journey in Cadence of Hyrule. Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necromancer is the newest title in the Crypt of the Necrodancer franchise and it brings Zelda and Link to the rhythmic dungeon crawler. The game may look simple however it requires a decent time and some practice to get in the flow.

You will need to practice a bit to master the controls of the game and to just get in flow with the beat in every level when you are new to the game. It is a lot different than other dungeon crawlers that we have in the market however it is also a pretty fun game once you get the hang of it. Below you will find some basic tips that will help you while playing the game during your early hours in the game.

Beginner’s Guide – Cadence of Hyrule

Our Cadence of Hyrule Beginner’s Guide details everything that you need to know for starting your journey in the game for the first time.

Unlock Fast Travel

There is a way to unlock Fast Travel in the game which will allow you to quickly teleport to the start of the dungeons. It will also help you to fast travel anywhere on the map to a Shiekah Slate and teleporting back to Kakariko Village as well. To unlock the Fast Travel, you must get the lute. Complete Temples

Cadence of Hyrule comes with four different temples that are required to be completed before you can get access to the final area of the game. For this purpose, you must get to the temples and complete all four of them. The easiest way to identify your location when you are inside a temple is to look for the flags. If you see some flags in the ground around you, it means that you are in a temple.

Avoid Hitting Statues

You will find numerous statues in the game however we recommend that you do not hit them. Some of the statues will straight up explode while some will come alive and you will have another fight on your hand.

Heal at Fairy Locations

You will be able to heal yourself at Fairy Locations. Try to find one as soon as possible.

Kill All Enemies Before Exploring

The screens will be full of enemies so it is recommended that you kill every last one of the enemies on the screen before you start exploring the screen for items. When you encounter an enemy, they will impede your free movement on the screen so it is always best if you just get rid of all enemies first and then move to the exploration.

Always Keep Moving

Since Cadence of Hyrule is a rhythmic game, it is vital that you keep moving on the screen. It also grants you a combo bonus if you keep moving. Higher combos mean bigger bonuses so try to keep moving in the game. Even if you are fighting an enemy or simply just trying to solve a beat, we recommend that you do not stop moving. This will ensure that your combo is high.

Use Diamonds for Permanent Upgrades

One of the currencies in Cadence of Hyrule are diamond. They are your safest bet because they are kept in your inventory even after you die. You must use these diamonds to purchase permanent upgrades that will improve your character overall. You can purchase items like weapons and additional health which are much beneficial in the long run. Do not waste your diamonds on items that eventually run out such as bombs.
