Ultimate Indie Brawler Bounty Battle Delayed as Developer Needs More Time

Review Bounty Battle

Merge Games and developer Dark Screen have announced that they have delayed their upcoming indie brawler game Bounty Battle. The main reason behind this delay is that the developer wants more time to make some tweaks to the game and ensure that a well-rounded experience is released for the fans without any sort of compromise. A new release date has not been announced yet.

The official statement states:

We’re sorry to say that we’ve had to make the unfortunate decision to delay the launch of our upcoming All-Star Indie Fighter, Bounty Battle. Our goal to provide an amazing couch co-op experience to our community is within reach, but we felt that we still had significant improvements to make that we simply could not achieve without a slight delay. Our community’s experience is of utmost importance to us, so keeping that in mind we decided to that the time we needed to deliver Bounty Battle as intended and intact.

This means that Bounty Battle will no longer release on the 23rd July as previously announced. We will update the community as soon as we have a new release date to share with everyone!

We would like to take the time to thank you all for your patience and understanding in this matter

Announced earlier, Bounty Battle is the ultimate indie fighting game where you jump in the shoes of your favorite indie game character and duke it out with other indie game characters. It is a 2D fighter and features characters from indie franchises such as Guacamelee! Dead Cells, Darkest Dungeon, Owlboy & more. There are nearly 30 fighters in the game from over 20 indie games. Each fighter also comes with their own Minion companion and unique abilities and fights take place in locations inspired by fighters’ native game worlds. A single fight will see 4 players duking it out on the same map.
