Warner Bros. Games has announced that its latest movie character Black Adam has arrived in MultiVersus as the latest playable character. MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighter developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Games. With plenty of new characters arriving in the game since its launch, Black Adam is the latest character to make his appearance in the new fighting game. In the DC canon, Black Adam is also known as the ruler of Kahndaq and the character in the game is inspired by his comic book origins. Black Adam arrives as part of Season 1 with a moveset that leverages his superpowers derived from the ancient Egyptian Gods. He is categorized in the Bruiser class and his abilities are on full display in the trailer above. Featuring his thunder and lightning attacks which shock enemies, Black Adam can also use an electromagnetic forcefield to block out enemy projectiles and fly around for aerial combat and off-stage versatility.
Black Adam arrives in MultiVersus just when the hype for the character is really high in the world as well with the worldwide release of the Warner Bros. Pictures film starring Dwayne Johnson in the title role. If you love reading comic books, you can also grab the first volume of DC’s Black Adam on sale now. Apart from the new character addition, MultiVersus now also has Arcade Mode which comes with three difficulty levels and the ability to play the game with a friend as well. You can take on a gauntlet of A.I.-controlled enemies in Arcade Mode to complete unique quests and earn rewards along the way.
Released earlier this year, Warner Bros. Games announced back in August that MultiVersus has crossed over 20 million players since its launch. The game features a diverse roster of characters from different franchises such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Black Adam (DC); Shaggy and Velma (Scooby-Doo); Bugs Bunny and Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz (Looney Tunes); Arya Stark (Game of Thrones); Tom & Jerry (Tom and Jerry); Finn the Human and Jake the Dog (Adventure Time); Steven Universe and Garnet (Steven Universe); Iron Giant (The Iron Giant), LeBron James (Space Jam: A New Legacy); Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith (Rick and Morty), Gizmo and Stripe (Gremlins) and an extraordinary original creature named Reindog.
