The best armor set that you can equip is the Barbarian Armor Set, where each of the three pieces that make up the full set are located in different locations in the game. Lets look at all the locations and how to get all the three Barbarian Armor pieces.

Barbarian Armor Leg Wraps Location

The Legs piece for the Barbarian Armor set is located deep inside the Deepback Bay Cave, which is all the way east on the map. You can find this location on the easter part of the map, north of Necluda Sea. The cave entrance is just north of Deepback Bay and sits just a little south of the Anedamimik Shrine here.

The cave is filled with enemies that will test you. Going in the cave pretty early in your cave will likely get you killed as there are many enemies that reside inside the cave. If you cannot wait to get better gear and weapons to deal with the enemies, you can make a run for it inside until you reach the ice section where the chest is.

Make sure you have a torch of Fire Fruits to melt the ice from the chest. You can only get the Barbarian Leg Wraps from inside the chest once it has been defrosted.

Barbarian Helm Location

The Helm piece for this armor set is found in a different cave. The cave in question is the Robred Dropoff Cave, located in Central Necluda. The cave is very close to the Robred Dropoff, southwest of the Peak of Awakening.

The cave is not that dangerous but will challenge the player to get to the chest containing the armor piece. This is because there are many openings and paths inside the cave that can take you in circles and confuse you.

However, if you notice all the stone statues and the direction they are facing, they all lead to the rock wall and the room with the Bokoblins. From this new area, you need to go to the other side, pointed by the two stone statues that will be facing it. There is a door here made with the same rock that you previously saw at the rock wall and destroyed. With a weapon with a stone, you can leap at it to destroy the rocks.

After the blocked door, head down the path that you can climb down from, leading to three sets of statues. The first set has five statues, the second has one statue, and the third has three statues. Stand in front of the third set with the three statues and use the Ascend ability which will take you to the room with the chest.

Barbarian Armor Chest Location

The final piece for the Barbarian Armor set is the Chest piece, found inside yet another cave called the Crenel Hills Cave. This cave is in the Crenel Hills region, northwest of Central Hyrule. The cave entrance will be indicated by the blue stones leading to the cave entrance.

If you go right to the center of the cave, you will have to find the Stone Talus enemy. However, you can completely avoid the fight if you hug the left wall of the cave to circle around to the other side, towards the path that leads to the chest.
