Below we have detailed where you can find Shadowmanes and how to tame them.

Where to Find/Tame Shadowmane

Shadowmanes can only be found on the lower-left portion of the map, specifically near the purple rivers. However, you need to look for them in the daytime. This is because they are very active during the night and are invisible. In the daytime, they are pretty much slow and in rest mode near purple rivers.

The taming process is pretty simple and is non-violent. However, you need some fish to feed the Shadowmane you have chosen to tame. You can do this by placing fishing baskets in the river and try to get a 0.5+ fish of any type.

Once you have the fish, carefully approach a resting Shadowmane and then feed it. This will be followed by the Shadowmane waking up and going invisible. Make sure you turn the Taming tracker on, which will show you where the Shadowmane will end up. Repeat the process when it is resting again by approaching it slowly and feeding it again until the Taming bar is completely full.

This will tame the Shadowmane, allowing you to mount it and use it for traveling or attacking other dinos. The main movement ability it will have is the long leap ahead where you are facing while riding the Shadowmane. However, you can look up to increase the leap height and distance which will take you even further.
