Anthem Cataclysm Event Puzzles Guide – How to Complete, Crystal Rods

Anthem Cataclysm Event Puzzles Guide

In this Anthem Cataclysm Event Puzzles Guide, we will show you how to complete all the Events in the new Cataclysm update. In total, there are 7 Cataclysm Events in the various parts of the map that you have to complete.

To make things easier for you, party up with friends for a coordinated approach in completing all of the events. Having said that, it is not impossible to venture out solo to take on these events.

To complete each event, you are required to complete a couple of simple objectives. Activate the Control Rods or devices to remove the protective barrier of the Crystal, and destroy the Crystal to reduce the effects of the Cataclysm. As easy as it sounds, each of the events is like puzzles that will have you looking for ways to deactivate the Crystal shield or how to activate them in order to gain access to the Crystal. To make things trickier, you also have to fight waves of enemies and baddies that can make things quite overwhelming.

Below we had detailed how you can complete all of the 7 Cataclysm Events in Anthem.

Eye of Magnus Event

This is the first Cataclysm Event that you will engage in is the Eye of Magnus. This is a circular arena that is pretty straightforward. Inside you will see the Crystal in the middle, surrounded by an outer ring consisting of 7 Crystal Rods.

When we say this that this puzzle is straightforward, this means that you don’t have to be looking around too much figuring out what to do. Your task here is to activate all of the 7 Crystal Rods, which will then expose the Crystal that you can destroy. The catch is that the Crystal Rods have a timer set on them that will reset them after 90 seconds. So have to be quick in activating all of the Crystal rods before the timer runs out on the first Rod you activate.

As easy as it sounds, you also have to fight with the waves of various enemies. IF you are playing with a team, you have your teammates deal with the enemies, while one player can focus on the Crystal Rods and go around to activate them all at once. If you are playing solo, the best approach is to clear out all the waves of the enemies first, and then go to activate the Crystal Rods.

Britaheim Event

The Britaheim Event requires you to be pretty well coordinated with your team. In order to complete this event, you again have to destroy the Crystal in this area, which can only be done by removing its protective barrier.

Now to remove the protective barrier of the Crystal, you are to activate five Echo devices by filling them with Echoes. Four of the Echoes are placed right at the gate in front of the arena, which is protected by blue shield barriers. The fifth Echo is underwater which is past the Suppression Field and protected by a barrier.

Now that you know where the Echoes are, go and collect the first four Echoes outside on the surface. These Echoes are protected by a Blue shield barrier that can be removed by one player stepping on the platform nearby, while the other goes to retrieve the Echo.

Once you have collected the four Echoes outsides, it is time to head underwater for the fifth and last Echo you need to destroy the Crystal. Here is where things get tricky, the first thing you have to do is to place the two Echoes you got from the gate, and place them at the two devices right before the Suppression Field. You need to do this so that the Echoes can pass through the field, otherwise, they will be reset to their original location, having you start all over again.

Once the Suppression Field is deactivated, now that you are in this new area, you will find the last Echo placed inside a protective shield barrier in the middle. Your task here is to deactivate the barrier by placing the last two Echoes you collected from the top, and place them at the two devices. One of the device will be on the right, the other on the left. This will enable you to collect the last Echo from the middle.

Now you need to collect all the five Echoes you used in this location and bring them back up to the surface. With all the Echoes in hand, you can place them in all the devices at the gate. This will them remove the barrier of the Crystal, and you can then destroy it to complete the event.

Casja’s Forge Event

This is an easy Event that can even be done Solo if you want. Your task here again is to destroy the Crystal by deactivating its protective shield. This can be done by silencing the relic by collecting all the relic fragments scattered in this area.

The relic fragments are protected by the Suppression fields that can make things tricky as the relic cannot pass through them. These suppression fields are on a cycle that deactivates them, so you should only pas through to collect the relic fragment once the field is deactivated. You might have to wait around until they deactivate, otherwise, the relic will reset and they will be placed on a cooldown timer.

Now that you have collected all of the 4 fragments, you need to deliver them to expose the Crystal. Destroy the Crystal to complete the event.

Castle Kelrik Event

The Castle Kelrik Cataclysm Event features another Crystal that you need to destroy. To remove Crystal’s protective shield, you have to collect all the four Arcanist Orbs. You have access to two Arcanist Orbs, and the rest are hidden behind walled barriers.

To remove the barriers, you have to place the two Arcanist Orbs that you have access to, and then place them on the platform with the matching symbols that are displayed on top of the barriers. Once both the are matched with the barrier door, the wall will disappear and you can collect the Arcanist Orb inside. Do the same with the next barrier to collect the fourth and last Arcanist Orb.

Now that you have all the four Arcanist Orb, you basically have to repeat the same matching the symbol process, but in the middle of the area where the Crystal is placed on a tower. Match the symbols with the Orbs and you will have the Crystal exposed and ready to be destroyed.

Dianna’s Landing Event

This is also an easy Cataclysm Event you can complete. With the basic objective of destroying the Crystal, you are tasked with fighting an enemy that drops the key that you need to deactivate the Crystals’ protective shield.

Once you are in the location, kill the smaller enemy spawns until you are faced with the Riftmaster. It is best to save up your Ultimate up until the Riftmaster shows up so that you can take him out quickly. Once the Riftmaster is defeated, it will drop a key. Take this key and place them in the exposed panels in the area to remove the Crystal’s shield. Destroy the Crystal to complete this event area.

Sea of Takaro

This event is also about destroying the Crystal, which can be done by collecting 3 Echoes and bringing them to the devices to expose the Crystal. This area has sections of puzzles that you need to complete in order to get to the puzzle.

You can complete this event solo, or with your group of friends for better coordination, however, that is not required. Now that you are ready, go and collect the Echoes you need for the Relic.

The event requires you to retrieve three Echoes to be placed in the Echo devices. To do this, you need to go to the area with the upside waterfall that leads to the Echo at the top. The trick here is that midway up to the top is a Suppression field that will stop the Echo from being taken down. To disable the Suppression Field, you need to place activate the platforms that remove the field. This can be done by asking your teammates to stand on the platforms, OR you can find three weights in the area that you can place on the platforms if you are playing solo.

Once you have retrieved all of the Echoes and placed them into the devices, the Crystal will be exposed and can be destroyed.

Crucible of Astrid Event

This event cannot be done solo and needs at least two players working together to destroy the Crystal. The goal here is to place 4 Echoes and activate 4 pressure platforms at the end of the back panel to power up the laser or energy bean that destroys the barrier

At the starting area, you will have one Echo that is near the tunnel. Take this Echo and bring it to the device that is at the edge of the cliff. This will activate a beam that will point upwards towards the area containing Echoes that were protected by the Suppression Field barriers. Collect the Echoes, and the one you used for the laser beam.

Now head back to the tunnel with the Echoes, and this is where you need more than one player for this part. One of the players on your team needs to control the Echo device just outside the door, as this is required to pass through the airlock tunnel. The tunnel needs to be controlled in such a way that by removing the Echo, the first barrier is removed, but then placing it back will remove the rest of the two barriers in the tunnel.

The players passing through the tunnel will need to take the Echoes and place them in the four devices inside the area. Now you need to stand on the four platforms to activate the final laser beam device. You can do this by placing weights on the platforms as well. This will activate the beam, destroying all the barriers, and reveal two panels. Activate the panels to expose the Crystal. There might be some enemy spawns here as well that you will need to take care of and then destroy the Crystal.
