Developer Primal Game Studio and publisher Knights Peak have announced the release of Update 1.6 for Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree which adds New Game+. The Update 1.6 is one of the biggest released for Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree to date and it brings a lot of new content to the game such as the New Game+ mode and tons of quality-of-life improvements. The update also includes plenty of gameplay, UI, and visual enhancements based on fan feedback.

Update 1.6 has a lot of features that have been added to the game based on Primal’s community-focused development. The post-launch updates are enabling the developers to refine, rebalance, and expand the game based on player feedback collected through different sources. The official press release has detailed the highlights of Update 1.6, which we have listed below, but if you want a complete overview of what is included in the patch, you can check out the detailed patch notes on the official post.
- New Game Plus (NG+) – Infinitely replayable, this challenging new mode introduces empowered variants of enemies, equipment, weapons, and the ability to start NG+0 with a fully-equipped character.
- 3 New Weapons – New Game+ introduces new weapons: Aurora, Crimson Slicer, and Reignbreaker.
- Skills, Talents & Nodes – Players can now remove and return skill upgrades, talents, and nodes at the Witches’ Altar. The ability to instantly learn talents and nodes has also been added.
- Gliding – The gliding mechanic has been improved, providing better activation timing and fewer accidental cancellations.
- Boss balance – Bosses such as Sleepwalker and the final boss have been optimized for clarity and fairness.
- Combat Balance – Changes to the activation of Nightshade’s Shadowstep and Vanguard’s Adrenaline abilities, as well as improvements to enemy hitboxes and the clarity of their movements.
- Bug fixes – Dozens of crash and logic bugs have been fixed, including animation glitches, map inconsistencies, and talent malfunctions.
Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is currently available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com without third-party DRM. It is also available on PS5 and Xbox Series X. A physical release of Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is also in the works, and it is slated for a September 2025 release in different versions including Standard Edition and Collector’s Edition, available at select retailers. The Collector’s Edition will include the base game in physical format, exclusive physical items, such as an artbook, an original soundtrack CD, and more. The digital release includes a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition. A Nintendo Switch port is also coming later in 2025.
