Ubisoft Reveals Rayman Legends Retold, Launching October 1

Rayman Legends Retold

Ubisoft has announced Rayman Legends Retold, a reimagining of the beloved 2013 platformer, revealed during Sony’s State of Play. The game launches on October 1 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, as well as GeForce Now, Blacknut, and Ubisoft+.

Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan, Rayman Legends Retold builds on the original game’s foundation, adding 3D visuals, a brand-new story, and fully voiced cinematics. Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murphy are back, this time setting out to restore peace to the Glade of Dreams after a shadowy villain begins spreading chaos across its realms. The game supports solo play or couch co-op for up to four players.

The reimagined adventure includes a never-before-seen sixth realm, epic boss battles, dragon rides, and a Cave of Trials challenge mode. Four all-new musical stages join the returning levels, and Kung Foot is back with improved controls, power-ups, and customizable rules. Hidden Teensies are scattered throughout for those who like to explore. The soundtrack blends returning fan-favorite themes with new compositions from Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope.

Brand Producer Loïc Gounon described the project as “our way of revisiting what makes Rayman so special,” adding that the team wanted to use Legends as a foundation to “expand Rayman’s lore, its world logic, and how everything connects together.”

The standard edition is priced at $39.99. Players who pre-order any edition will receive the Hoodlum Havoc Pack, which includes two costumes for Rayman and Globox inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
