Grace Ashcroft starts her journey with very limited space, so knowing where to find Hip Pouches can make survival much easier.
Hip Pouches Locations Guide – Resident Evil Requiem
At the beginning of RE9, Grace only has 8 item slots, similar to the system used in RE7. As you progress, you can find 4 Hip Pouches in total. If you collect all of them, her inventory space increases to 16 slots. However, these upgrades are not permanent between playthroughs. If you start a new run, even with bonus unlocks available in item boxes, Grace will go back to having just 8 slots. You must find all the Hip Pouches again each time.
The following are all the locations where you can find the Hip Pouches.
Hip Pouch Location 1 – Parlor in Rhodes Hill
After you gain access to the Parlor in Rhodes Hill, you can get the first Hip Pouch from one of the Coin Lockers in the room. When you enter the Parlor, you can immediately find up to 4 Antique Coins scattered around. This means you can buy the pouch right away, even if you haven’t collected any Coins earlier in the game.
On Insanity difficulty, the Hip Pouch is still inside the same locker and still costs 3 Coins. The difference is that no easy Coins are lying around the room this time, so you will need to bring Coins with you before entering.
Hip Pouch Location 2 – Filing Room Closet
Once you obtain the Level 1 Wristband, return to the west wing of Rhodes Hill. Head back to the Filing Room and use the Wristband to unlock the small closet inside.
In that closet, you will find some handgun ammo along with the second Hip Pouch. This one requires a little backtracking.
Hip Pouch Location 3 – Processing Area (Basement)
Later in Rhodes Hill’s basement, you will come across the Forklift Key. As soon as you pick it up, look for a forklift nearby in the Processing area. Use the key to move it out of the way, which opens a path to an old storage room.
Inside this storeroom, you can find the area map and the third Hip Pouch. Make sure to explore the room fully so you don’t miss it while focusing on other items.
Hip Pouch Location 4 – Bioweapon Repository 05 (ARK)
The final Hip Pouch is located in Bioweapon Repository 05 inside the ARK. This area can be distracting due to the enemies present, making it easy to overlook important objects.
To find it, interact with the glowing white switches located on the sides of the storage containers. These switches open the container doors. The container closest to the entrance holds the final Hip Pouch and an Empty Bottle.
By collecting all four Hip Pouches, you will double Grace’s starting inventory size.
