If you attempt this fight as soon as it becomes available, expect a much tougher battle because you are underleveled. However, once you finish the main story and reach around Level 130 or higher, the Demon of Obsession becomes extremely easy. At that stage, the difficulty drops so much that the fight can end in only a few moments.
How to Defeat the Boss
You can locate this boss in the Bakumatsu region at Nijo Castle, inside Mibu Temple at the Main Gate. Look toward the north-west corner of the area where the golden chest icon appears on your map. From the Shrine at Mibu Temple – Main Gate, head to the hill just south of that icon and drop down from there. This will lead you directly to the boss arena.
Using Dual Ninja Swords with a Ninja-focused build is highly effective. Just like with the previous hidden demon boss, center your setup around strong Summoning Seals and invest heavily in the Magic stat. With the right summoning upgrades active, you can cast your most powerful summons repeatedly and overwhelm the boss before it becomes dangerous. Handled this way, the Demon of Obsession turns into a quick cleanup fight rather than a real challenge.
After defeating it, you will be rewarded with the Platinum Trophy if you have managed to earn all other trophies in the game.
