Pokemon Legends: Z-A Bagon Guide – How to Get, Evolve

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Bagon Guide

In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the Trainer who loves Dragon-type Pokemon, should absolutely have Bagon in his party. Mega Evolutions also make a comeback in the game. With its help, you can evolve your Bagon into a fearful Pokemon named Salamence. It is one of the most powerful Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon. Bagon, a Dragon-type Pokemon that eventually evolves into Shelgon and later into Salamence. In this Pokemon Legends: Z-A Bagon Guide, we will see where to get Bagon and how to evolve it.

Where to Get Bagon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

You can find Bagon wandering around the middle of Wild Zone 18, and it appears at any time of day, so you don’t need to wait on the benches. You might also spot an Alpha Salamence near Bagon.

How to Evolve Bagon

The evolution path for Bagon is straightforward. You can evolve Bagon into Shelgon, but you should first reach level 30 with Bagon. Then, you can evolve Shelgon into Salamence after reaching level 50 with Shelgon. You can further Mega Evolve Salamence, but it requires a Mega Stone named Salamencite.

You can obtain it after completing Main Mission 35: Reaching Rank A. Once this mission is done, the stone becomes available for purchase at Quasartico Inc. for 360 Mega Shards.

Salamence has a Base Stat Total (BST) of 600, making it a Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon. It also has a variety of moves that are not available for many Dragon-type Pokemon. When Salamence Mega Evolves, its total BST will become 700. The following shows how its stats improve:

  • Attack: +50
  • Speed: +20
  • Other stats (except HP): +10 each

Choosing Salamence is very good during PvE and PvP because it has an Earthquake, a Ground-type Physical move that deals heavy damage to many of the strongest Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. With its AoE power, it becomes reliable against other Physical attackers, including powerful enemies like Mega Tyranitar and Mega Lucario.
