Needolin Upgrades Guide – Hollow Knight: Silksong
You can unlock two upgrades for Needolin in the game. Both are detailed below:
Needolin Upgrade #1: Beastling Call
With this upgrade, you can mimic the song of the Bell Beast. It allows you to summon the Beastlings and return to their mother with them. To unlock the Beastling Call, you must progress the story into Act 3. In Act 3, you will need to try to use Fast Travel in the Grand Bellway, and it will trigger a boss battle. Defeat the boss, and you will unlock the Beastling Call upgrade for your Needolin. The location of the boss battle is marked on the map below:
This is a quest called Beast in the Bells which requires you to descend into the bellway and defeat the hostile creature within. The boss is called Bell Eater, and once you defeat it, play the Needolin with the Bell Beast, and you will unlock the Beastling Call upgrade.
To start the boss fight, head to the Fast Travel location, but instead of calling the Bell Beast, you must head into the center of the area and enter the opening in the ground to trigger the boss battle.
Needolin Upgrade #2: Elegy Of The Deep
This Needolin upgrade is unlocked through story progression and is unmissable. You must progress to Act 3 of the main story and continue playing until you unlock it with the Snail Shamans.
With the Elegy Of The Deep, you can play tunes to the dead bugs littered around Pharloom and learn more about their past.
