Developer Squanch Games has finally announced High of Life 2 release date at gamescom 2025. High On Life releases February 13, 2026, on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Day One on Game Pass, PS5, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Apart from announcing the release date for High On Life 2, the developer also revealed brand-new information about the game, such as some boss fights, a new cast of talking guns, and plenty more.
Check out the brand-new gameplay demo of High On Life 2 from the gamescom 2025:
If you have not noticed until now, High On Life 2’s release date is Friday the 13th, which is a reference to the iconic slasher film, and it is also Valentine’s Day Eve. The game takes place five years after the first title, and you are now living your life comfortably as a well-known bounty hunter. However, things change when, on your way to a celebrity-endorsement event, a new bounty appears on the network, and it is none other than your sister, Lizzie.
While you were busy trying to become the world’s best bounty hunter, your sister was busy trying to build up her reputation as a freedom fighter/terrorist. The actual term depends on your perspective. One thing leads to another, and now you are a bad guy. To make things right again, you once again arm yourself with an arsenal of talking guns and take on the bad guys. You will find a mix of new and returning voices in your arsenal, such as Knifey (Michael Cusack), Sweezy (Betsy Sodaro), Gus (JB Smoove), and, making his debut at gamescom, Sheath (Ralph Ineson).
The gameplay trailer from gamescom shows a promising stage in the game’s development cycle. It is still a little away with its February 13, 2026, release date, so there is plenty of time for further optimization and polishing. You can add High on Life 2 to your wishlist now if you are interested in trying it when it comes out.
