Tormented Souls Endings Guide
Below we have detailed what you need to do in order to get all three endings in the game.
Best Ending – Adoption
The best ending of the game is when you can end the game by saving your sister, Anna, and escape the mansion together. But to do this, you need a few key items that allow you to save your sister by returning her to her normal state, and ensure that the both of you make out from the mansion safely.
The first item that is required is the Antidote, which can be found in William’s Office after you complete the puzzle. Assuming that you have completed the puzzle by passing through the doors, taken out the enemies, and obtained the antidote, you can now proceed with the normal story gameplay until you reach the end.
At the point in the story where you talk to Noah, kill the enemies and get the Cross Key to escape outside, you need to complete the important step of going towards the creature who was chasing you and use the antidote on it. This will turn the creature back to Anna, your sister. Though it will seem that Anna is dead, your task here is not entirely done.
After the cutscene with Anna, pick up the bolt cutters in the same room before exiting out to defeat the final boss in the game. Once you are done, make your way to the room with the VHS cassette player room and the projector. Now insert the Experiment Tape in the player and then go towards the screen. This will teleport you back in time, where you need to rescue Anna
With the bolt cutters you picked up earlier, your last objective is to use to cut open the chain locked prison cell, and teleport back in the current game time. All that is left is to use the Cross Key and escape the mansion with Anna safe alongside you.
Neutral Ending – Forgetfulness
Other than the best ending, all the other endings depend upon the choices that you make for the key part in the story. While the Neutral ending is still a good ending where you can safely escape the mansion, you still leave Anna behind even after using the antidote on her.
This ending can be obtained in the same as the best ending, without the objective of using the Experiment Tape on the VHS player to go back in time and bring along Anna. To get this ending, make sure you get the Antidote from William’s Office, use it on the monster to turn it back into Anna, believe that your sister has died in the process, and complete the game normally.
Worst Ending – Remorse
This ending is where you completely ignore the key task of using the antidote on the monster and complete the game by obtaining the cross key, defeating the final boss, and making your way towards the exit.
While you may think this is an ending, it will be far from it. Just as you open the door after using the Cross Key and mere steps away from freedom, you will be ambushed by the monster, already in the process of pouncing on you.
