Upcoming RPG Maker, Adventure/Horror title NIRAVASI is a project by indie developer Angus McCallum and is currently live on Kickstarter as well. Set in the ancient human city called Niravasi, the game takes its inspiration from other titles in the same genre such as Yume Nikki, .flow, Cat in the Box, and many others.
NIRAVASI focuses on you exploring the ruins of a city while trying to avoid the horrific mechanized monsters that patrol it. These monsters are controlled by the AI known as AEON. The game emphasizes heavily both storytelling and visual horror as players explore the ancient city as Mura who is an Antherian archeologist and is trapped in the city. Apart from getting to know the story of Mura, players will also get to know how the city fell in the first place.
Key features of NIRAVASI include:
- Explore the ruins of a long-dead civilization, uncovering the mysteries and terror hidden within its walls.
- Solve a series of thought-provoking puzzles either to continue your progress or to unlock hidden rooms/passageways.
- Escape and hide from a vast army of mechanical proxies and the machine intelligence that leads them. As you progress, you’ll have to start planning how you approach certain encounters with these machines.
- Traverse through 8 unique levels, ranging from the dilapidated ruins of a better time to an ancient Stepwell filled with dark secrets.
- A pixelated art style, complete with chiptune audio effects and a foreboding soundtrack.
- You get to play as a Cat.

The full release of the game is slated for December 2021 on PC however a January 2022 tentative window is also mentioned for OSX.
