Rogue Glitch has entered its final form as it leaves Early Access and launches a free-to-play single-player mode, 13 new items, and 2 new characters.
The single-player mode is the biggest change arriving into the game with the launch and going free-to-play. The developer has stated that they wanted everyone to have the opportunity to try out the game. However, the multiplayer mode comes as a DLC for players looking for online play.
Check out the Rogue Glitch trailer below:
Rogue Glitch is a platformer’s paradise in a rogue-lite world of procedurally generated levels and arrays of enemies. Develop your character each run with random items ranging from incremental stat modifiers to lethal showers of bullets. Expand your arsenal to include the full range of items Rogue Glitch has to offer by levelling up; then crush bosses to access unique glitched versions of your former self.
The latest patch in the game also brings the final Glitchworld “The Creator’s Domain” where you will get to meet Malfecto, the God of Glitches. In addition, there are 13 new item unlocks which include the Missile Boots, Explosive Pooper, Health Shield, and Multithreading.
Other things the patch brings is the quality of life tweaks which include more forgiving stomps and balance changes to Zone 3.
The developer has also noted that all the current owners of Rogue Glitch from the Early Access period will have access to the multiplayer functionality. The mode will be automatically enabled for players in the game.
Rogue Glitch Features:
- Solo play and local co-op (Online Co-op with DLC)
- 120 unique items to collect
- 12-character variants each with upgrading stats and skins
- A narrative told through completion events
