Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are making their return after thirty years, as we got to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge trailer. Developer Tribute Games, along with publisher Dotemu, announced the return of the series as a sort of sequel.

From the trailer, we can see that the gameplay is a side-scrolling beat-em-up, inspired by the classic retro title TMNT: Turtles in Time. The game has been confirmed for both PC and consoles; however, a release date has not been confirmed.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge reunites Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael as they kick shell in a beautifully realized beat ’em up.

According to the official game description by the developer, the game features groundbreaking gameplay that is rooted in timeless classic brawling mechanics, made by the beat-em-up experts over at Dotemu and Tribute Games. Players will get to bash their way through gorgeous pixel art environments and slay tons of hellacious enemies with their favorite Turtle, each with his own skills and moves, making each run unique.

The gameplay is featured in the classic TMNT locations, from Manhattan and Coney Island, to city rooftops and dank sewers, where you will have to help the Turtles trounce the Foot Soldiers, Triceraton Warriors, and Rock Troops all the way to Dimension X.

The visuals feature stunning full-color pixel art graphics and a vintage TMNT vibe that will throw you back to the 80s. Each character, item, weapon, and vehicle is also inspired by the 1987 TV show.
