Rumor – Resident Evil 8 Will be First Person View, Releasing Next Year

Resident Evil 8 First Person

Some additional details have started coming out after last week’s rumors about Resident Evil 8 and the release of the game next year. While the rumors stated that the game will be a big departure from the series, it seems that Resident Evil 8 will feature a  first-person view.

Last week, a prominent leaker by the name of AestheticGamer had revealed that a new Resident Evil game had been in development for over three years now and that it will be releasing next year n 2021. New information by the leaker ads that it is a cross-gen game that is going to be first-person.

“Resident Evil 2021” is Resident Evil 8, but it wasn’t always RE8. During most of its development it existed as Revelations 3. So as I’ve said, it’s a cross-gen game [that] should be revealed within the next few months, it is first-person.

However, the first-person view is not the only thing that will be new. According to the leaker, hallucinations, insanity, occultism and not being able to trust others are going to be a big part of the game.

many purists are going to hate it because it’s taking some serious departures in the story/enemies and the like. Hallucinations, Occultism, insanity and not being able to trust others are huge thematics of the game. The rest I’ll leave to be revealed later this month.

What is surprising is that the leaker says that more will be revealed later this month. Whether they are talking about leaking more information themselves, or if the game would officially be revealed by Capcom is still in question. We could have heard some news about it at this year’s E3 event. But since the event has long been canceled, everything is a guessing game right now.
