Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Star Fragments Guide – How to Get, Uses

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Star Fragments Guide

Star Fragments make a return in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and are still quite rare in the game. However, there are a few key changes in both getting them and using this rare item that falls from the skies. This Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Star Fragments Guide will show you how you can get Star Fragments and what you can do with them after obtaining one.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Star Fragments Guide

Star Fragments fall from the sky and remain on the ground somewhere on the map. When you usually spot one falling down, you can head to its general location to obtain it. Star Fragments do not remain forever, which means that they will disappear when you don’t pick them up.

When you have an idea of the location they have fallen to, you shouldn’t fast travel near its location as it can change where the Star Fragment landed. Instead, you will have to directly go to the location it fell to.

Although Star Fragments are rare, you can increase your chances of finding one by spotting it in the sky as you paraglide or dive from a high location. Additionally, the game now lets the fragments fall to the ground during the daytime, as compared to only in the nighttime in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

When you see a Star Fragment heading towards the ground, you have a better aerial view of its location, quickly allowing you to chase it.

How to Use

Star Fragments are rare items but can be sold for 200 rupees each. However, this is more of a waste as the money isn’t something significant. Instead, you can fuse it with a stick to use it as a torch that shoots light beams, or fuse it with the Miner’s Armor set to make it light up, allowing you to illuminate dark paths.

Alternatively, you can also fuse a shield with a Star Fragment and equip it on your back for a good item that produces light. When going in dark areas like caves, this can come in very handy.
