WRATH: Aeon of Ruin Emerges from Early Access with Full Release

Fans of dark fantasy horror rejoice as WRATH: Aeon of Ruin, the adrenaline-pumping FPS powered by the original Quake engine, exits Early Access and debuts version 1.0 on PC. Published by 3D Realms and Fulqrum Publishing, and developed by KillPixel Games and Slipgate Ironworks, WRATH unleashes its full fury on Steam, Epic Game Store, and GOG. Console versions are slated for release later in 2024.

The 1.0 release of WRATH introduces a slew of new content, including a new hub, three epic boss battles concluding each episode, three additional weapons, four fresh enemies, two new Sigils, and five Artifacts to uncover. Players can now dive deep into the game’s fully implemented story, immersing themselves in a world of carnage and chaos.

Among the updates and improvements in WRATH 1.0 is a comprehensive tutorial, guiding players through the intricacies of gameplay mechanics and the game’s atmospheric world. Additionally, enhancements to enemy AI and game performance promise a smoother and more immersive experience for players.

In WRATH: Aeon of Ruin, players assume the role of the Outlander, awakened amidst the ruins of The Old World. Guided by the enigmatic Shepherd of Wayward Souls, they embark on a relentless quest to vanquish the remaining Guardians of the Old World, leaving destruction in their wake. Armed with nine powerful weapons, including the Ruination Blade and the Retcher, players engage in fast-paced FPS combat reminiscent of classic shooters.

Traverse corrupted temples, mystical forests, and decaying ruins interconnected by WRATH’s hub world, braving hordes of grotesque adversaries at every turn. With aggressive gameplay rewarded, players must stockpile weapons and ammunition to survive the relentless onslaught of enemies.

WRATH: Aeon of Ruin is now available on PC for $24.99, with a 15% discount during the first week. Console versions are scheduled for release later in 2024, promising console players their own taste of relentless FPS action and immersive horror.
