Warner Bros. Games Unveils Mortal Kombat 1 Trailer Featuring Peacemaker

Warner Bros. Games, in collaboration with NetherRealm Studios, has released an exhilarating new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, showcasing the first gameplay footage of the highly anticipated downloadable content (DLC) fighter, Peacemaker. Voiced and modeled after actor John Cena, Peacemaker brings his unique brand of justice to the Mortal Kombat universe, drawing inspiration from DC’s The Suicide Squad film and the Peacemaker series on HBO Max.

Scheduled to join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster on Feb. 28 as part of the early access period for Kombat Pack owners, Peacemaker embodies the ideals of peace through lethal means. In the action-packed trailer, Peacemaker takes center stage, equipped with his expert gunslinging skills, iconic helmet abilities, and trusty sidekick, Eagly. The character’s trademark dance moves and bold humor add an extra layer of excitement to his formidable moveset.

Alongside Peacemaker, the trailer also introduces Janet Cage, a new DLC Kameo Fighter and alternate reality version of Johnny Cage. Janet Cage offers support moves during matches, further diversifying the gameplay experience. Players can look forward to accessing Janet Cage as part of the Kombat Pack or through standalone purchase options in March 2024.

In addition to the thrilling character reveals, Mortal Kombat 1 will receive an update on Feb. 28 introducing Krossplay functionality for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). This feature enables cross-platform matchmaking in various game modes, including Kombat League, Kasual matches, and private matches.

Mortal Kombat 1 Peacemaker

For those eager to experience Mortal Kombat 1 firsthand, a Free Trial Weekend is scheduled to take place from March 7-10 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). The trial period offers access to the base roster of main characters and Kameo Fighters, online and local multiplayer modes, Towers, and select chapters of the Story mode.

The Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack, available as part of the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition or standalone purchase, includes early access to six playable DLC characters, including Peacemaker, as well as additional Kameo Fighters. With exciting new content and cross-platform functionality, Mortal Kombat 1 continues to deliver thrilling experiences for fans of the iconic fighting franchise.
