Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have officially revealed the Year 2 roadmap and the Anniversary Update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Year 2 begins with the arrival of the Anniversary Update for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 on September 4, 2025. Following it, the developers are promising another year of free gameplay content along with a new Season Pass, which will include paid cosmetics for fans.

While a lot of information is not announced about particular content, we do have a pretty good roadmap for the upcoming year. Year 2 will introduce six new planned patches with free gameplay additions available to all players throughout 2025 and 2026. These will include new PvE and PvP game modes, new enemies, a new playable class, and more. We have listed some additions below:
- Four new Operations and a new Siege map
- Two new Eternal War arenas
- New Stratagems (PvE) and Helbrute Onslaught (PvP) game modes
- New playable class: The Techmarine
- New weapons and free unlockable weapon variants for existing weapons
- New enemies and bosses
- New Progression mechanics
Starting Year 2 is the Anniversary Update, which is the biggest patch for the game to date. The Anniversary Update will also mark the launch of Season Pass for Year 2 and the first two DLCs: The Black Templars Champion Pack and the Imperial Fists Cosmetic Pack. It will include a new Champion skin for the Bulwark class and Power Sword skins for the latter. Around 40 new cosmetics celebrating seven of the Imperial Fists’ Successor Chapters are also part of the pack.
As the year progresses, Season Pass 2 will deliver nine new DLC packs, which will celebrate the galaxy-spanning variety of Space Marine Chapters with new Champion skins, armor pieces, and heraldry markings. Existing Chapters like the Blood Angels and Salamanders will receive new cosmetics, and fan-favourite Chapters like the Raptors, Iron Hands, and Charcharodons will also get some love.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. You can jump into the Year 1 content and the base game right now and prepare for the upcoming Year 2 content when it drops next month. Year 2 officially kicks off September 4, 2025.
