Ubisoft Says Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is Hit By DDoS Attacks – Servers Issues and Missing Helix Points

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey released yesterday on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. On PC, the game is available at Steam platform, as well as on Ubisoft’s Uplay store.

There is another way to play the game completely for free. Google Chrome has recently went one step ahead and announced a service that lets you stream AAA games on your PC or Laptop. The latest game is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The service is currently available in US only and is under beta testing for now.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey had rough launch and players have been experiencing server issues and missing helix points. Ubisoft says, it is DDoS Attacks that are causing the disturbances. We do not know if it was the DDos attacks or rough management at Ubisofts’s end. Regardless, what the real story is, Ubisoft wants you to remember their version of story.

At instances like when you are into the game and playing it, once you have earned the Helix Points and server crashes, there is high chance that Helix Points are lost. The crashing and losing Helix Points was later noticed by Ubisoft. In a tweet Ubisoft said:

Then after couple of hours later, Ubisoft posted an update to its first tweet, mentioning that the issue has been resolved and that few players may still face the problem.

If you are playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey then may want to add a free DLC. The Twitch Prime is running a promotion that gets you a Aegean Pirate Pack DLC for free. This pack contains a rare armor set, a ship skin, pirate crew theme and a mount skin.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be much greater game than AC Origins. AC Origins provided a new pathway to the franchise. It also introduced RPG mechanics to the game. AC odyssey will be much bigger than the previous one. Reportedly, it will take you approximately 40 hours to complete the story.
