Saber Interactive has announced that Turok: Origins, the latest entry in the legendary dino-hunting franchise, will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 this fall. The title was originally announced for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement was made during a recent Nintendo Partner Showcase.
The game combines first-person and third-person sci-fi action, tasking players with assuming the role of the Order of the Turok, elite guardians fighting to protect humanity from both alien invaders and prehistoric predators. Players can engage in combat solo or cooperatively, exploring dense jungles, ancient temples, swamps, caves, and other deadly environments across the Lost Lands.

Turok: Origins emphasizes tactical and visceral combat. The game features melee attacks, a wide array of weapons including plasma rifles, ray guns, bows, snipers, and shotguns, as well as powerful special abilities. Fallen enemies yield DNA that can be harvested to evolve abilities and unlock EchoSync powers, giving players strategic advantages in battle.
The title also promises a story-driven experience, with twists and high-stakes encounters spanning diverse planets and locales. Players can upgrade their arsenal, customize their combat style, and adapt to increasingly dangerous opponents, including bosses that dominate both land and sky.
Saber Interactive’s return to the Turok franchise brings modernized mechanics while honoring the series’ signature blend of dinosaur action, cooperative gameplay, and sci-fi adventure. The addition of Switch 2 support expands access for console players, offering handheld play alongside traditional docked 4K output.
Turok: Origins is slated for launch this fall on Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The franchise’s evolution promises to deliver both nostalgia and fresh, high-intensity action for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
