The Outlast Trials Season 4 Adds the Most Twisted Prime Asset to Date

Developer and publisher Red Barrels have released a terrifying new trailer showcasing Season 4 – Project Diarchy for The Outlast Trials. Season 4 – Project Diarchy adds a brand-new Prime Asset to the game, the Kress Siblings. Otto and Arora are twins conjoined at birth due to their in-utero exposure to toxic chemicals. Born to a wealthy industrial magnate, Anton Kress, the twins suffered even before birth, as their mother was exposed to the poisonous fumes of Anton’s experiments. Their mother passed away, bringing them into the world. Apart from the new Prime Asset, Season 4 also brings with it additional content updates, QoL improvements, and much more across the board.

The Kress siblings suffered a horrible past as they were reviled by their peers and blamed by their father for their mother’s death, they have now found their way into The Outlast Trials. Both are two halves of the same sadistic whole. Otto is a former one-time politician who now wields a chainsaw instead of words, and Arora is a brilliant chemist capable of devising toxic weapons far more deadly than anything her late father ever crafted.

Their shattered body has two brains, and they have a complete 360-degree vision making it impossible to escape their sight. Brother Otto falls on the victims in a bloody melee frenzy while Sister Arora can lob poison flasks at players for a ranged attack. Together, they make one tough enemy that is both difficult to evade and tough to fight. They are also one of the toughest Prime Asset to arrive in the game to date. You will encounter The Kress siblings in a brand-new Trial Environment, The Shopping Mall.

Apart from the new Shopping Mall Trial Environment and The Kress Twins Prime Asset, the new season will come accompanied by an update that will bring a new environment, a new Trial, and MK-Challenges, along with the reintroduction of the Rebirth system. It now offers added options for team play. Additional details and full patch notes will arrive later on July 15, 2025.

The Outlast Trials is also getting another major update later this year in Fall 2025 after this Summer Update. The next update will arrive in time for Halloween, which will include a Limited-Time Event and a brand-new game mode. The Outlast Trials is now available on PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One. The Outlast Trials Season 4 – The Diarchy arrives on July 15, 2025, across all platforms.
