The House of the Dead 1 and 2 Are Getting Remakes

The House of the Dead Remakes

If you have been playing video games since the 90s, chances are that you would have played the horror franchise The House of the Dead back then. It was originally released as an arcade game and it was optimized for use with the light guns on arcades. Sega also released the series later on Sega Saturn and Dreamcast and finally it made its way to PC as well. However, Forever Entertainment has announced that the first 2 games in The House of the Dead franchise are getting remakes.

This was announced by Forever Entertainment on their official Twitter channel where they stated that both classic titles The House of the Dead and The House of the Dead 2 are getting remakes. However, the platforms or release dates are not known at this point however since the agreement has been signed, we can expect more official news dropping soon. Apart from this, we also don’t know at this point whether the titles are getting remakes or are getting the remastered treatment.

The House of the Dead was released in 1996 and The House of the Dead 2 was released in 1998. Both titles were extremely fun to play back then with players trying to defeat the undead and monsters using their pistols. The game came complete with boss battles at the end of each level with the character moving automatically in the game and the player only responsible for aiming and shooting the baddies.

With the current platforms, we can expect both titles to include VR support as well and since the game was specifically made for light gun technology, it would make perfect sense that the remakes support VR and players are able to use the VR guns accessories specially the PS VR Move Gun attachments would make perfect sense. We are expecting more information to arrive soon and we will update you guys whenever Forever Entertainment drops any more information about the remakes.
