Developer Awaceb has released a new trailer for their upcoming island hoping title Tchia which focuses on the soul-jumping mechanics. The latest TCHIA trailer shows how easy it is to navigate around New Caledonia using the soul-jumping mechanic as you can jump between anything that you see in the game. Check out the trailer below before we jump into additional details:
The trailer starts where you are flying as a seagull and then you leave the seagull and dive into the water only to soul-jump into a turtle and continue ahead as if nothing has happened. From that, you come to the shore, and then you soul-jump and use your environment to burn some enemies while soul-jumping into a lamp and later using it to defeat another enemy. From there, you soul-jump into a barrel, roll down, defeat more enemies and then finally back into a seagull where you conclude by soul-jumping into a coconut and then chilling in the sunset on a beat. It all looks pretty cool and frankly speaking we cannot wait to jump into the game.
Awaceb originally announced TCHIA back at The Game Awards 2020 and later, we got to see a new trailer that showcases us New Caledonia, the place where TCHIA is set. It is a beautiful set of islands where you will be exploring and moving around while soul-jumping through a multitude of creatures and inanimate objects. The exploration is both in-land and in-water so whatever creature or item you soul-jump inside, you will get their powers and if it is an underwater creature, you will be able to explore all of the water bodies from inside as well.
A confirmed release date has not been announced at this point however the game has been pushed to Q1 2023 from its originally announced Spring 2022 release window. You can add the game to your Epic Games Store wishlist right now. It will also release on PS5 and PS4.
