SABORUS: A Gripping Tale of Survival in a Brutal Slaughterhouse

In a gaming landscape often dominated by heroic protagonists and epic battles, SABORUS offers a radically different experience. Developed by independent creator Jean Lima and his High Room Game Studio, this suspenseful horror game places players in the vulnerable role of a chicken desperately trying to escape the clutches of an industrial slaughterhouse. Originally conceptualized from a place of personal loss and reflection, SABORUS has garnered attention for its unique premise and immersive gameplay.

The inception of SABORUS stems from Jean Lima’s own experience of losing a beloved pet chicken. Inspired by this event, Lima began to contemplate the harrowing fate that animals raised for human consumption face daily. This introspection led to the creation of SABORUS, a game that seeks to shed light on the dark realities of industrial farming and slaughterhouses.

In SABORUS, players assume the role of a helpless chicken trapped within the confines of a slaughterhouse operated by the formidable food industry giant, Saborus. Stripped of any special abilities or weaponry, players must navigate through treacherous environments fraught with danger. Utilizing puzzle-solving skills and the limited use of objects, players must outmaneuver slaughterhouse workers and evade terrifying genetic experiments unleashed by the food company. Survival becomes the ultimate objective in a setting characterized by oppression and fear.
