Rocket League Adding a Rocket Pass On September 5 – Premium + Free Pass

Rocket League will be launching a new Rocket Pass into the game as announced by developer Psyonix. The feature is set to be released on September 5 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mac and PC.

Rocket League is a vehicular football game developed by Psyonix. The game features exotic cars in an area with a huge ball in the middle. The players are requires to score goals in the opponents net for a score.

At the end of the round, the player with the most score wins the game. Rocket league has both solo and multiplayer mode available in the game. The game is available for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC players.

Rocket Pass – Details

The rocket will be available in two varieties, a free and a premium version. Rocket Pass will come with challenges for players to complete and earn rewards by completing matches. The Premium Rocket Pass which will be at a price of $9.99 will include up to 70 tiers worth of reward, compared to the 29 tier for the Free Pass.

Players can also unlock tiers by spending keys on them. Keys are in-game currency of Rocket League that you can buy anytime.

Psyonix is calling it the Rocket Pass 1, which when elaborated means the first season of the pass. Players, who unlock the rewards in this pass, will get to carry the rewards and items to the next season. However, experience points will be reset and do not carry over to the next season.

This is the first time in the game’s long running history where the developers have added a feature such as a Rocket Pass. Although it doesn’t force its fan base to purchase the premium content, it is yet to see if this will bring any attention back at the game. The Rocket Pass will be available on September 5, so diehard fans of Rocket league do not have to wait that long.
