Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo Gets a September Release Date

Developer Dank Hearts and publisher WhisperGames have announced the release date of their psychological puzzle-adventure game Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo. Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo is slated for release on PC via Steam on September 17, 2025. Announced back in May 2024, the developers are now ready to release their brand-new title this year as it nears development completion. To celebrate the release date announcement, we also have a brand-new trailer for the game:

Type-NOISE: Shonen Shojo follows the story of six teenagers who wake up in a strange city without any previous knowledge of how they got there. Called Noise Scramble City, the city is a surreal, Tokyo-like prison built from trauma itself. To escape this city, you will need to solve over 40 puzzles, explore dreamlike environments, and piece together the fragmented past of the characters. The game blends together narrative elements with gameplay as it asks players to confront not just the city’s mystery but also the hidden wounds within each character’s heart.

The six teenagers in the game are bound together by shared crisis, and the group must escape the city while confronting the memories buried deep within their hearts. As each of them grapples with whether they can accept their past selves, the true nature of the city starts to get clear. Each of the six brain-teasing stories explores the complex struggles people face today alongside universal themes shared by all of us. The launch version will support English as well as Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

The game also offers a free demo if you want to try it out ahead of its release. It offers a small taste of the full game as it includes the first two chapters of the story, new puzzles, and three new exploration areas as well. The developers are also accepting requests for an upcoming Playtest so that you can try your luck there as well through their Steam page.
