RTX 3080 Ti Performance

The latest specifications of the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card have been spotted online along with the GPU which will be powering it and its price. The specifications were leaked out by Videocardz along with the Ampere GA102-225 pictures.

The graphics card’s Ampere GA102-225 pictures have leaked out though there is still some confusion as to whether this chip will be the final variant for the card itself or there’s a newer version of the GPU SKU. It was recently reported that NVIDIA is using a stricter BIOS Firmware lock to enforce the hash rate limit on the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card and revised Ampere cards.

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12 GB FE (Founders Edition) graphics card is expected to feature the PG132-SKU18 PCB design and the GA102-225-KD-A1 graphics core. The GA102-225 GPU has also changed since the last time we saw them and will now feature 10240 CUDA cores within a total of 80 SM units. The GPU features a clock speed of 1365 MHz base and 1665 MHz boost, both of which are slower than the existing GA102 GeForce RTX GPUs.

ITHome has reported that the final NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card is expected to ship with the new GA102-202 or GA102-302 GPU core features the same specifications as the QS but is locked for mining. RTX 3080 Ti will feature 12 GB of GDDR6X memory running at 19 Gbps. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be using a 384-bit bus interface which equals a total bandwidth of 912 GB/s.

Mining numbers for the RTX 3080 Ti were also leaked. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti sample tested in the leak delivers a mining hash rate of around 119 MH/s (after optimizations) in Ethereum. The memory has also been tweaked to operate at 21.4 Gbps instead of its standard 19 Gbps out-of-the-box speeds. With that said, it was previously rumored that the GPU will also ship with a Hash Rate Limiter so we will have to wait and check the official announcement whether this is true or not.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is expected to feature a price of around $999 US while ITHome has reported that a price of 7999 Chinese Yuan which is equal to around $1200 US. Right now, it is rumored that RTX 3080 Ti will release sometime in May.
