The development team behind Riftstorm, Mythic Alliance, is thrilled to unveil the details of their upcoming pre-alpha playtest scheduled for March 8th, 2024, at Pacific Standard Time. Following the success of their initial playtest in November 2023, the team is doubling down on their efforts to enhance the gaming experience by incorporating highly requested features and content.
Riftstorm, a Roguelite Shooter renowned for its distinctive presentation and dynamic action, offers players unique weapon skills, challenging dungeons, and high replayability for both solo and cooperative gameplay. Players assume the role of elite secret operatives tasked with combating the relentless onslaught of cosmic horrors.

The playtest will serve as an opportunity for players to experience the latest additions to Riftstorm, including a new narrative layer, two additional playable operatives, and a new mythic enemy type. With its explosive action and captivating moves, Riftstorm plunges players into a world teeming with myths and nightmares, where they must confront cosmic horrors known as Mythics.
In this intense multiplayer roguelite shooter, players must utilize shooting and dodging techniques while customizing each run to suit their strengths and preferred playstyle. The game offers seamless co-op gameplay for up to three players, challenging them to work together to survive increasingly difficult encounters and secure valuable loot.
Key features of the playtest include the introduction of three new threat levels, two new operatives (Hertz and Spraybot), a new narrative arc, one new mythic enemy type, and ten new weapons. Players can request access to the playtest directly on the Riftstorm Steam page, where they can also wishlist the game to stay updated on its development.
