Music-Driven Pixel-Based Hack-and-Slash Resonant Blade Gets July Release Date

Developer and publisher Wise Wombat Games has announced the release date for its music-driven pixel-based hack-and-slash title Resonant Blade. Resonant Blade is releasing on PC via Steam on July 22, 2025. Developed and published by a solo developer from Austin, Texas, Resonant Blade allows you to battle a horde of AI-powered robots hellbent on destruction by wielding the ultimate sound-based weapon. Apart from combat, the game also features resonance-based puzzles and exploration of a shattered sci-fi world on the edge of silence.

Resonant Blade puts you into the shoes of Atlas, a former scientist turned soldier, who is driven to fight after the Dark Synths decimated the world of Terra. You will manipulate sonic energy using the powerful Resonant Blade, overcome Synth’s defenses, and tune your Resonant Tones to exploit enemy vulnerabilities and sync attacks for maximum damage.

You will need to depend on sharp reflexes, an even sharper ear, and careful adaptation for each encounter in the game. The gameplay also incorporates additional mechanics, such as dashing, parrying, and modulating, as you battle your enemies in combat. Resonant Blade is slated for release on PC via Steam on July 22, 2025, and you can head over to its official Steam page and add it to your wishlist right now.
